What are Scabies?
Mite or Sarcoptes Scabiei is responsible for scabies. In very simple words, scabies can be explained as a type of skin infection that is highly contagious. The mites happen to burrow under the epidermis of the victim’s skin and lives on by feeding on skin cell. They can live up to a month like this, and if you do not treat it, then they will reproduce and things can get serious.

Who can get them?
Scabies happens to be common among young adults and children. A child can get scabies via skin-to-skin contact which is the most common mode of direct transmission. But here it should be mentioned that, sexually active young people can also get scabies. Scabies are considered as a STD (sexually transmitted diseases) by many experts as it can be transmitted sexually as well. But, do keep in mind that this does not happen in all cases.

This skin infection can occur all over the body like on soles of the feet, elbows, knees, armpits, wrists, shoulder blades, spaces between the fingers and also in the waist area. Besides, scabies can also appear under the breasts and in genital area and/or buttocks.

Signs and Symptoms
The symptoms and signs of scabies consist of skin rashes associated with blisters and small red bumps which look similar to mosquito bites. It may also consist of small red burrows on the skin. The victim will also deal with continuous and severe pain and itching (mostly during the nighttime). The symptoms of scabies can be noticed within two to six weeks after the first time exposure.

How do you treat scabies naturally? Fortunately, if the condition is not too serious, scabies can be treated at home only.

Applying this very juice will help you out a lot as the quercetin (analgesic) in onions will provide relief from itching. And the sulfur compounds on the other hand, will kill the mites.

Tree Tea Oil- In a bathtub filled with lukewarm water, add 12-15 drops of tea tree oil and soak in it for 20 minutes. The terpinen-4-ol in it is will kill the mites, whereas its anti-microbial properties will protect the affected areas from other infections while it heals.
