Ingredient Highlight; Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile)

By Dr. Peter Klapper Ph.D.

Roman Chamomile is like no other. Its chemical makeup contains an incredibly high number of esters, up to 80%. This incredibly high concentration is uncommon in the plant kingdom and the driving factor establishing the extraordinary character of Roman chamomile.

It is believed this high ester content provides the antispasmodic effect so prized in Roman Chamomile. It thereby helps calm the central nervous system and thus relieve symptoms related to migraines and nerve pain

Even in small quantities this oil really carries. It is incredibly rare and therefore not readily available on the commercial market, especially certified organic. Its volatile esters provide an element of healing for migraines and nerve pain that is one has to experience to understand and appreciate.

A bonus is that Roman Chamomile has particular analgesic properties which also helps relieve pain associated with nerve pain and migraines. It is thus understandably concentrated in our Migraine Pain Management and Nerve Pain Management products. We know of no other pain medicines which include this organic oil, it really is that rare and special for pain management.

The diverse action of the ester components on the central nervous system can also have a positive effect to reduce stress. Nervousness, tension, and stress can be addressed as a result of sedative qualities of this prized medicinal plant.
